Without help from others, none of us would go far. That’s why Sequoia Riverlands Trust feels so good about our friendship with the people at Sequoia Brewing Co. Their help has given SRT so much.
SRT approached SBC earlier this year to see if we could find common ground for a partnership. Their love of the outdoors is obvious if you’ve ever been to their restaurants, so we thought we might find friends there.
That meeting has led to an amazing friendship. Together we’ve hosted two nights of SequoiaFest in Visalia, celebrating great music, food and beer. We’ve also collaborated on a tasty, seasonal beer made with elderberries picked at SRT’s Kaweah Oaks Preserve.
Sequoia Brewing then offered to host a dine-in night benefitting SRT. Dubbed “Nature on Tap,” the event, held Oct. 24, drew a huge crowd. This event, along with beer proceeds donations from SequoiaFest, has netted SRT thousands of dollars. And it hasn’t stopped, as Sequoia Brewing has also been instrumental in helping us find a truck and paying for the truck’s logo wrap.
Many thanks to Sequoia Brewing, especially owners Scott and Michele Kendall, brewmaster Andrew Ford, and Visalia manager Matt Doggett.
