It's a shame that Children's Musical Theaterworks will not have a home to learn and enjoy acting and singing after this year due to repairs needed to the Fresno Veterans Memorial Auditorium where they performed for 17 years.
CMT has made a difference to hundreds of children from different ethnic backgrounds who came together to perform plays for the community to enjoy. The plays also brought people downtown to enjoy the different restaurants and support our economy.
The city can spend millions of dollars to make the downtown area open to the public but can't seem to put money forward to help CMT find a new home so they can continue to support our young people to grow in their art.
