I am appalled that “Fresno’s family friendly fair” would invite Ice Cube to perform at the fair. He spewed filth and vulgarity so loudly that I felt compelled to flee with my three young grandchildren playing on the climbing toy with slides.
If the concert were inside an enclosed structure then I wouldn’t be writing this letter. If people choose to pay money to listen to vulgarity, that is their choice. I, too, paid money to take my grandchildren to the fair to enjoy an evening together. I certainly would not subject them to language that any and all children should be protected from.
Why would the fair book a performer at an open air event that thousands of children are encouraged to attend and then allow vulgarity to be blasted so loud that everyone within the fairgrounds couldn’t help but hear?
The Fresno Fair Board should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. We will never attend the fair in the evening again!
Never miss a local story.
