Pertaining to Charles Bednar’s letter (Feb. 26) “Trump is unstable, unfit for office”: Hypocrisy comes to mind! Was President Obama “completely detached from reality” during his 2008 presidential campaign when he stated he had visited “57 states” with one to go”?
How did Mr. Bednar feel about Obama’s “obsessive repetition” that Americans could retain their doctors and health-care plans? Obama likewise insisted there was “not even a smidgen of corruption” involved in the IRS scandals targeting conservatives.
Bednar attacks Trump’s gaffes as being “...absolutely unacceptable behavior for a president.” Perhaps he should have directed his frustrations toward Obama, who, regarding eight different major national incidents, said he became aware of them on regular newscasts just like ordinary citizens.
Obama lightly addressed ISIS: “… if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms, that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant.” ISIS has since resulted in excruciating tortures, painful mutilations, multiple thousands of deaths and millions of immigrants fleeing for their lives. Yet, Mr. Bednar has the pompous audacity to say “Trump is unfit for office,” that “he should immediately resign and seek professional help … for the good of the country?”
God’s take? (Daniel 12:8-10)
