As an educator who has worked for Fresno Unified School District in various capacities, including teaching, I can recognize who is serious about student success and working collaboratively to improve the lives of students and the community. Cherella Nicholson has dedicated her life working with stakeholders, teachers, and administrators in K-12 schools to prepare students for college.
On Nov. 8, Central Valley citizens located in Area 2 of State Center Community College District will have the opportunity to choose their next trustee. Unfortunately, the current trustee has been ineffective the past four years. The district and students suffer when board members are ineffective and unethical.
This November, you have to make a decision. I encourage you to elect Nicholson, a true leader who has the dedication, experience, and grit to make sure that your tax dollars do not go to waste. She will fight for students and help remove barriers so students can succeed and have access to quality education. I know she works hard, the community and other educators are behind her – you should get behind her, too!
