Regarding Jerry Duncan’s letter of Sept. 17: I have lived in this area all my life and.most of you know me well. Through my performances for veterans, seniors, charities, private events, I have a reputation as a pretty good guy.
Then, I decided to run for Fresno City Council and now I am “the most dishonest” candidate ever. The example given of my “gutter” politics? Saying my opponent voted on the Northeast Surface Water Treatment Plant! He did, as chronicled in The Bee on June 7, 2000, when he voted to accept over-budget construction bids.
These are just silly games played by failed politicians who ran this city into the ground. This race isn’t about me, it is about all of us fed up with crime, vagrancy, unemployment, a filthy city and Fresno being perpetually at the bottom of lists.
If this campaign isn’t successful, we all lose. If you want to stick with the same stale names from the past, you will have that choice. Take a chance on me, and I will work hard every day to make you proud of your vote. I hope you agree it’s time for common sense citizen leaders, not these dishonest political hacks!
Never miss a local story.
