Regarding your editorial “How hardcore do we want to be in policing porn?” (Sept. 12)
Video is a tantalizing tool and people tend to think along the lines that if they see someone else not wearing a condom, then it must be all right. While you state that California’s porn workforce is “only” around 2,000 people, given today’s speedy communication systems it is easy to promote pornography around the world and spread a disease with it.
If a man can’t wear a condom (“It just doesn’t feel as good!”) to protect someone beyond himself, he’s not an adult. If the porn industry won’t man-up and require their actors to use condoms, then support Proposition 60 to put a lid on it.
