Lightning, fires, hot weather, flood warnings and sprinkles.
It was anything but a normal August day of weather Thursday in the Fresno area.
Lightning apparently struck in the foothills area of Madera County and caused a flurry of fires Thursday evening near the intersection of Road 208 and Road 211, and Road 406 and 209.
Meanwhile in Fresno and Clovis, people were experiencing what seemed like random rain on a day that started off hot and muggy.
Never miss a local story.
But while it might’ve seemed random to Fresno folks, the stormy weather has been moving this way from the foothills.
There’s also a major flood watch going on off of Highway 58 in Tehachapi.
