    The Soberanes fire burning in Monterey County grew to 23,568 acres Wednesday with 10 percent contained; more than 3,000 personnel are working day and night. Mid Coast Fire Chief Cheryl Goetz says the fire has jumped over containment lines, potentially putting another 75 houses in jeopardy. Goetz will be using NextDoor, a private social network, to notify residents which structures have been saved and which have been lost.
