The state’s political watchdog agency has proposed a $200 fine for Deborah Blue, chancellor emeritus of State Center Community College District, saying she didn’t timely file her 2013 Statement of Economic Interests.
Blue was required to file the document because she was a board member of the Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board, according to the state Fair Political Practices Commission. Also known as a “700 form,” the Statement of Economic Interest details gifts, loans and other income-producing jobs that could pose a conflict of interest. Elected officials and public board members must file the document.
The period for Blue’s 700 form was the 2013 calendar year, according to the FPPC.
FPPC staffers recommended the fine. The agency’s board will meet Oct. 16 to make a final decision on the recommendation, as well as several other matters.
