The City of Visalia announced Tuesday that water regulations for all residents will shift to a twice-a-week system beginning Wednesday.
In October, residents with odd addresses can water on Tuesday and Saturday, while those with even addresses can water on Wednesday and Sunday. The regulations will shift to a once-a-week schedule in November and December: Saturday for odd addresses, and Sunday for even addresses. The City will not allow watering during January and February.
Residents can water trees, shrubs and vegetables using a watering can or hose with a positive shut-off nozzle at any time. The City warned that hoses may not be left unattended and watering lawns outside of the schedule is prohibited.
