High school students in Fresno will visit an elementary school on Friday to promote anti-bullying, Fresno Unified School District said.
Sunnyside High School students will put on an anti-bullying assembly at Greenberg Elementary School to help the younger kids reduce bullying problems, prevent new bullying problems and get along better with each other.
There will be two 30-minute assemblies, with the first geared toward kindergarten through third grade students, the district said. It will feature a puppet show, skits, poems and a chant. The second assembly is geared toward fourth through sixth grade students and feature a rap, personal testimonials, skits and poems.
All of the skits are written by the high school students and each incorporates the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program adopted by Fresno Unified.
Never miss a local story.
The first assembly starts at 10 a.m., and the second starts at 10:45 a.m.
The school is at 5081 E. Lane Ave.
