Three central San Joaquin Valley students won awards at the 2015 Congressional Art Competition for the 21st Congressional District.
Rep. David Valadao, R-Hanford, announced the winners Thursday.
First place went to Alyssa Garza from South High School in Bakersfield. Racquelle Justo from Hanford West High School won second place and Alyy Howell from Sanger High School won third place.
The students' artwork will be displayed in the national exhibition in the Cannon Tunnel, a pedestrian walkway leading to the U.S. Capitol.
