Fresno State announced Thursday that Jody Hironaka-Juteau will immediately assume the permanent role of dean of the College of Health and Human Services, a post she has held on an interim basis since July 2013.
Hironaka-Juteau is a Fresno State alumna and an American Council of Education fellow. She has published multiple articles and presented at various conferences since joining the Fresno State faculty in 1999. She’s also served on many educational and social boards and committees during her tenure at the university.
Hironaka-Juteau will oversee the College of Health and Human Services, which has more than 4,800 students, 248 faculty members, 32 staff members and a $9.7 million budget. The college offers programs in communicative disorders and deaf studies, kinesiology, nursing, physical therapy, public health, recreation administration and social work education/gerontology.
