Fresno Pacific University will host an event in the qualifying round of the Red Bull Paper Wings paper airplane competition on March 26.
Entrants will battle in three competitions: longest distance, longest airtime and aerobatics. The winner of the longest distance and longest airtime competitions will fly to Salzburg, Austria, to compete in the global finals.
The event is one of 75 national qualifiers held in the United States. More than 2,000 people are expected compete nationwide.
The qualifier will run from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Special Events Center at Fresno Pacific. The event is free and open to the public.
