The National Women’s Studies Association named Fresno State’s Handprint Project the standout program sponsored by a college or university women’s and gender equity center.
The Handprint Project was held last year by the Fresno State Women’s Resource Center as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The Handprint Project includes campus clubs, organizations and offices hosting tables in the Peace Garden where students can pledge not to commit or condone sexual violence by placing their handprints on the group’s banner. Everyone who pledges receives a card with on and off-campus resources.
The event is planned again on April 7.
