Fresno State’s annual observation of African American History month, which kicked off Monday with opening ceremonies, will continue with a public debate on Thursday and a roundtable discussion titled “Black Lives Matter” on Feb 17.
A discussion event called “Sistah to Sistah” will be held every Thursday in February from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Center for Women and Culture in the Thomas Building, Room 110.
On Feb. 27 Fresno State will host the annual Africana Culture Night and Rosa Parks awards at 6 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright, pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, will speak at Fresno State on March 2.
The Black Agitprop Art Exhibit, which showcases African American cultural and political art, will run through Feb. 27 in the Pete P. Peters Balcony Ellipse of the Henry Madden Library (second floor, north wing).
