The Boys and Girls Club in Fresno County will name its Youth of the Year at a dinner Thursday from 10 finalists.
The award goes to club members who show a commitment to leadership and service, academic excellence as well as healthy lifestyles.
The first-, second- and third-place winners will be given pizza for a year from Me-n-Ed’s Pizzeria, a recognition plaque, and a Target gift card ranging from $100 to $500.
The Youth of the Year will receive a scholarship of up to $3,000 and will have a chance to advance to the state, regional and national Youth of the Year competition.

This year’s finalists are: Elizabeth Leon, Ajanique I’yana Shells, Robert Calderon, Priscilla Morelos, Elizabeth Zamora, Dantrail Chatman, Taylor Rodriguez, Darany Lee, Cristo Joyce Villaverde and Jennifer Ellis.
Judges are: John Smith, Baker, Manock, Jensen, retired; Ann Tye, Central Valley campus of University of Phoenix; Michael Girazian, Union Bank; Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims; Hugh Ralston, Fresno Regional Foundation; Loren Booth, Booth Ranches; David Olson, OCAT, Inc.; Jennifer K.
