Fresno police are investigating a shooting in southeast Fresno after a man in a Chrysler 300 crashed into a pole and was found unconscious by good Samaritans.
The crash took place about 12:39 p.m.. at East Ventura Avenue and South Hazlewood Boulevard. It’s possible that the victim, from Oxnard in Southern California, shot himself, Lt. Joe Gomez said. The man, in his 20s or 30s, told officers that he was shot at a Shell gasoline station in Fresno by one of three men who approached him wearing red bandanas over their faces, but the victim could not say exactly where the shooting took place. The victim would not let police search his car and officers were waiting for a search warrant.
