Two men were injured Thursday night in a drive-by shooting at the corner of a southwest Fresno intersection, police said.
The injuries weren’t life-threatening, police said.
Officers responded about 10 p.m. to a report from police’s ShotSpotter system of gunfire. People also called police about a shooting with victims, Lt. Mindy Casto said.
Officers found the victims along Poppy Avenue. They were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
The two victims were standing on a corner of Elm and Church avenues with two other men when they were shot by a passenger in a white Dodge Avenger driving north on Elm Avenue, Casto said. The victims ran east to Poppy Avenue.
Investigators found shell casings and interviewed witnesses, including the two men who were shot, Casto said. Officials said it was possible the shooting was gang-related.
