A woman in northeast Fresno was injured Thursday morning by robbers who invaded her home and ran over her foot while making their getaway, police reported.
The crime was one of at least two in the area committed by a crew of crooks in an orange Dodge Neon, police Lt. Joe Gomez said.
The incident took place about 9 a.m. at Fallbrook and Cedar avenues. Gomez said the woman was at home when the suspects knocked on her door, then kicked it in. The woman hid inside her home while the crooks ransacked rooms and snatched a flat-screen television.
As the thieves began to leave, the woman ran outside in an effort to photograph their car. Gomez said the driver deliberately aimed the car at her and ran over her foot.
In the confusion, police said one of the suspects, identified as Adrian Echeverria, 18, was left behind and was arrested at gunpoint by officers about a half-block away as he tried to escape.
Earlier, about 7:20 a.m., the same suspects are believed to have hit a home in the 1100 block of East La France Drive, near Champlain Drive and Perrin Avenue, where two televisions were stolen. The suspects remain at large.
