Fresno police made an arrest Thursday in the case of a home invasion robbery that injured a World War II veteran on July 5 in the 3400 block of East Indianapolis Avenue.
Danny Miller, 20, of Fresno was arrested after being identified as a suspect in the robbery. Miller went into his scheduled probation drug testing at the Fresno County Probation Department on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., where he was subsequently arrested, Sgt. Sean Biggs said.
Biggs said police expect to make an additional arrest in the case.
Police described what happened July 5: The 89-year-old veteran answered a knock at his door and was met by the robbers who acted as if they knew the man, talking their way inside. Once in the home, Miller asked to use the bathroom but took so long that the veteran became suspicious. He found Miller stealing money and jewelry in his bedroom; when he tried to stop him, Miller assaulted him, causing a minor injury to the veteran’s arm.
