A Tulare man was sentenced to six years in state prison Tuesday for ignoring a protective order and punching his wife.
Randy Langley, 40, was convicted on June 1 of one felony count of violating a domestic relations court order and one misdemeanor count of battery against his spouse. Langley had also had a prior conviction strike and three prior prison sentences.
Langley had gone to his wife’s home on March 10, despite a court order prohibiting him from being within 50 yards of her.
When an argument broke out between the two, Langley hit his wife in the face, causing her to fall to the floor. He then fled, but was later caught.
