Visalia police made one DUI arrest and wrote 68 citations during a sobriety checkpoint overnight Friday to Saturday.
Sgt. James Andrews said the checkpoint started at 10:45 a.m. in the area of Ben Maddox Way and Goshen Avenue and ran four hours. Officers checked 531 vehicles and gave four field sobriety tests. There were 20 citations for unlicensed driving, 12 for driving on a suspended license and 36 for other offenses. Police towed six cars.
