Fresno police arrested a man on felony charges after a weapon was brandished in northeast Fresno Wednesday night.
Sgt. James Fowler of the department’s Gun Crimes Unit said the incident was broadcast about 6:15 p.m. Officer Miguel Archan ran the license number of the suspect’s vehicle in his computer and located an address in southeast Fresno. Officers arrived at the home and ordered the residents out of the home. Dario Mercado, 29, was arrested and a .40 caliber handgun and a box of ammunition was seized. Fowler said Mercado admitted that he brandished the weapon and he was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a car, and carrying a concealed weapon that was not registered. He was booked into Fresno County Jail on a $50,000 bail for each charge.
