Two men were taken into custody Thursday night after officers investigating loud music coming from a car discovered multiple pounds of marijuana and a Glock handgun, Fresno police reported.
Sgt. Paul Cervantes of the MAGEC anti-gang unit said the officers were in the area of the 2100 block of North Angus Avenue about 10 p.m. when they investigated the music coming from a parked car. Police learned that Lue Vang, 29, was on post release supervision and was wanted on a firearms charge. The Glock, loaded with a 15-round magazine, was found on the floorboard of the car where Lue Vang had been seated. He was booked on an additional firearms charge.
Officers found 7 pounds of marijuana in the car and arrested Steve Yang, 29, whom Cervantes said was standing outside the car, on a charge of selling drugs. Cervantes said Lue Vang is an Asian Crip gang member and Steve Yang is an associate of the gang.
