A Fresno woman was threatened with a loaded .357 handgun in her home Thursday morning in an altercation with her brother, later identified as Zalonte Smith, 26, of Fresno.
Officers responded to the 5100 block of East Olive Avenue, where the woman reported Smith had threatened to shoot her after she refused to allow him into her home.
Smith left the scene in a vehicle that was located an hour later in the 2200 block of East Webster. Not long after, Smith left the area in another vehicle, but police found and arrested him later without incident.
Upon further investigation, Smith was found to be wanted on a similar crime in which he had pointed the same gun at another victim.
Never miss a local story.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, brandishing a handgun, domestic threats and the previous weapons case.
