Over 6,600 marijuana plants from four different properties in the Squaw Valley area were confiscated Wednesday.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Mario Carrillo-Matancillas, 43, on suspicion of felony cultivation charges. Carrillo-Matancillas was found with 731 plants growing in the backyard of a home at the 38000 block of Squaw Valley Road.
Other locations involved in the operation include a 140-acre parcel along the 48000 block of Thunderhill Road, where detectives found a campsite complete with a diverted drip-line water system for the 3,378 plants found there.
On the 39000 block of Squaw Valley Road, detectives discovered 748 plants and 1,200 starter plants in a greenhouse.
