A Farmersville man was found guilty of first-degree murder Thursday for killing another man in early 2013, Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward said.
Jose Antonio Alcazar Flores, 39, was convicted of shooting and killing Edwin James, 21, of Farmersville, on Jan. 13, 2013. James was shot three times in the back of the head and dumped in an orchard southeast of Farmersville, Ward said.
Flores admitted to shooting James to Tulare County sheriff’s deputies, Ward said.
Flores will be sentenced on May 29. He faces a mandatory term of 50 years to life in state prison.
