A woman who bit a Porterville police officer is under arrest for felony assault on a peace officer, police said Friday.
Just after midnight Friday, the officer contacted Reynaldo Anaya, 34, and Caressa Castro, 44, both of Porterville, near Maston Street and Putnam Avenue.
When Anaya ran away, the officer chased him and the two got into a struggle, police said.
Castro intervened to help Anaya break free and bit the officer, who used a stun gun on her and stopped the attack, police said.

Other officers found Anaya hiding behind a house and arrested him on five active arrest warrants, possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy.
The officer was treated at Sierra View Medical Center and released.
