A woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of DUI after she drove into a large rock about 6 p.m. on Mandy Lane, east of Highway 41 in Coarsegold, CHP officer Paul Varner said.
The woman, 43, of Coarsegold, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries but is expected to survive. Her two teenage sons were passengers and suffered minor injuries.
The woman drove into a “very large rock,” Varner said. “She might claim that the rock tried to jump out in front of her,” he said. “That was not the case.”
