A man suspected in a string of Oakhurst store burglaries was arrested Tuesday when police found him in possession of several stolen items and a methamphetamine pipe.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglar alarm at Yosemite Jewelry in Oakhurst on Tuesday morning, where they found the front glass door broken and several pieces of jewelry missing. Later that day, officers arrested Christopher Nunn after finding the stolen jewelry inside a U-Haul truck he was driving, as well as other stolen items from Yosemite Bicycle and the Verizon store in Oakhurst.
Police said they also recovered stolen items from Tractor Supply Company in Madera and a car that was burglarized outside Madera Community Hospital.
Nunn, who was out on bail after Fresno police previously arrested him for possessing a stolen bicycle from Madera Honda, was booked into Madera County Department of Corrections on multiple burglary-related charges.
