Hanford police arrested a man on Wednesday who allegedly crashed into another vehicle while driving with a blood-alcohol level almost twice the legal limit.
Police said the incident happened about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Hanford Armona Road and Irwin Street when Gustavo Oquita, who was driving a Ford truck, failed to yield a right of way turn on Hanford Armona Road to a Kia Sedona van making its way through the intersection. Anna Madrigal, the driver of the Kia Sedona, was treated for minor injuries at Adventist Medical Center in Hanford.
Oquita was arrested when officers found he was driving with a blood alcohol level of .146. He was booked into Kings County Jail.
