A man was arrested Thursday after a search of his southeast Fresno home yielded two guns, methamphetamine and marijuana, police said.
Sgt. Paul Cervantes of the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) Metropolitan Team said that Samuel Villanueva, 37, is on probation for domestic violence and prohibited from having a gun. Police performed a probation search at Villanueva’s home, which shares a fence line with Easterby Elementary School, around 8 a.m.
Cervantes said the two guns seized brings the total of weapons confiscated this year by the MAGEC Metropolitan Team to 73. Citizens can receive a $500 reward by calling Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP and offering information leading to a firearms arrest.
