Ricardo Picasso, 28, of Lindsay, has been sentenced to 139 years to life in state prison for murder in a gang-related shooting death, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
A jury convicted Picasso of first degree murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
On Oct. 30, 2011, Eric Reyes, 25, of Lindsay, was at a party in the city. Picasso, a gang member recently released from prison, had a longstanding disagreement with the victim, prosecutors said.
They argued and Picasso shot Reyes four times in the back as he tried to run away. Bullet also went into a home where a 3-year-old stood inside, the District Attorney’s Office said.
