A jury convicted a father and his two sons Tuesday on multiple counts of child molestation, Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward said.
Rogelio Mata Martinez, 58, of Dinuba, was found guilty of two counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 years old and one count of attempted sexual intercourse/sodomy with a child under 10 years old. Ward said Martinez’s crimes occurred between 2004 and 2007 in the Dinuba area against one victim, who was between 6 and 9 years old at the time. Martinez faces up to 11 years in state prison.
Rogelio Mata Jr., 22, of Dinuba, was convicted of 10 counts of forcible lewd acts on a child under 14. Ward said Mata’s crimes occurred between 2009 and 2012 in the Dinuba area against one victim, who was between 11 and 13 years old at the time. Mata faces up to 80 years in state prison.
Armando Mata, 34, of Dinuba, was found guilty of 10 various child molestation charges. Ward said these crimes occurred between 2007 and 2013 in the Dinuba area against two victims, who were between 8 and 14 at the time. Mata faces 65 years to life in state prison.
