Police arrested a convicted felon from Fresno on Friday morning who was in possession of several guns, including one equipped with a homemade silencer.
Police served a search warrant at the central Fresno home of Ignacio Chavez, 34, about 8 a.m. after being tipped off. When officers arrived at the home, located on the 2600 block of East Princeton Ave., they found a shotgun, two handguns, ammunition and a homemade silencer inside the suspect’s bedroom.
Chavez was booked into Fresno County Jail on multiple gun possession charges.
