Two juveniles were arrested, one on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, after a burglary Sunday afternoon in the Fresno High area, police reported.
Sgt. Chris Serrano said officers were called to Van Ness Boulevard just south of Shields Avenue to investigate a burglary and learned the juveniles, ages 16 and 14, broke a window to get into a home. When the juveniles were confronted by neighbors, one of the juveniles pointed a loaded .22 caliber revolver at a witness and threatened to fire it. They then ran to a nearby neighborhood, where they were captured with the help of a Fresno County Sheriff’s helicopter.
After a yard-to-yard search, officers found the revolver hidden in a tree stump.
The two were booked into juvenile hall.
