A 37-year-old Hanford woman was arrested after she allegedly slammed into a car while drunk Thursday night and was thrown from her 2004 Chevrolet.
Hanford police said the force of the crash threw Chrystal Flores from vehicle, which rolled about 150 feet, overturning several times. Flores was found lying in the street with minor scrapes on her head and cuts on her lower back, police said.
About 9:35 p.m. Thursday, Flores was driving south on Jones Street from Hanford-Armona Road. She hit the rear of a parked 1996 Ford Taurus in front of Amberwood apartment complex after police said she was traveling at a high rate of speed through a residential neighborhood.
Flores was conscious when police found her and they said she admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the crash. She was transported to Adventist Health Medical Center in Hanford and later arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
