The owner of a Fresno medical marijuana dispensary was arrested Monday for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and a handgun, Fresno Police Sgt. Jerardo Chamalbide said.
Francisco Vargas-Reynosa, 27, an ex-felon, was stopped by a detective while allegedly driving on a suspended license. The detective reportedly found a loaded 9 mm handgun and over an ounce of crystal methamphetamine inside Vargas-Reynosa’s vehicle.
Officers found additional ammunition after searching Vargas-Reynosa’s home and his business, a medical marijuana dispensary at 317 N. Van Ness Ave. in Fresno, Chamalbide said. The detective stopped Vargas-Reynosa’s vehicle while investigating an assault reported at the dispensary.
