A 25-year-old woman is in custody after a strong-arm robbery Wednesday at a Rite Aid pharmacy in west Fresno, police said.
Detectives say suspect Lela Myles shoved a 71-year-old woman to the ground and took her purse at the pharmacy, located at Shields and Brawley avenues, west of Highway 99. .
Police said Myles also is responsible for a robbery attempt Dec. 17 at a nearby Walgreens at Clinton and Brawley avenues. Detectives say Myles dragged a 48-year-old woman several feet but the victim did not let go of her purse. Myles fled.
Myles was recorded on video inside both stores before the crimes and detectives recovered property from the second victim Thursday. Myles also faces charges of cruelty to a dependent adult.
