One man was arrested Thursday after police say he posted on Facebook a picture of himself with a gun and his exact plans for a drug deal in southeast Fresno.
Fresno police Sgt. Paul Cervantes said that a Fresno County district attorney investigator found the post by Sonny Synakhone, a 23-year-old Lao Blood Gang member. Synakhone’s profile showed pictures of him with the gun, and one status update said that he and his fellow gang members were planning to sell marijuana and honey oil at the Vagabond Inn on the corner of Jensen and East avenues on Thursday.
Police converged on the hotel at the listed time and arrested Synakhone after a search yielded drugs and a loaded 9mm handgun, Cervantes said. Synakhone was on probation for a prior weapon possession charge.
Nikkie Khamchanthavisouk, a 22-year-old Lao Blood Gang member, was also arrested on drug sale and weapon charges at the hotel, Cervantes said. Piraphon Xayosa, a 22-year-old Lao Blood Gang member, was arrested on a probation violation charge.
During the operation, police also found a vehicle reported stolen in Sanger. They arrested the driver, Rudy Reyes, 39, on charges of possessing a stolen car.
