Police caught a man who forced his way into two homes in Fresno while running from police night.
Fresno police were responding to reports of guns fired into the air at about near the 300 block of North Calaveras Street.
A 23-year-old Fresno man ran from police through an apartment with people inside, police said. He smashed through a back window and ran through several yards before breaking into the basement of a home in the 400 block of Calaveras. He refused to come out but was taken into custody after a brief struggle with police dog Kubo.
The man, who is on felony probation, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest and a probation violation.
