Three people, including a boy, are in the hospital Monday night after a shooting in central Fresno, said Fresno police Lt. Carl McKnight.
Police were called to the area of Clinton and West avenues around 9:30 p.m. and found a green car in a parking lot with a boy and a woman in her late 30s to early 40s.
The boy suffered a facial injury and woman in her 30s to early 40s had a graze wound to her head, McKnight said.
It is believed that the two were shot at while inside the car nearby and they drove around the block before police arrived.
Minutes after the shooting, officers were notified of a man shot in the upper torso who showed up to the hospital claiming to have been shot in the same area. McKnight believes the the incidents are related.
The car was hit multiple times, shattering windows.
Police, while still investigating, have little information to go on and do not have any suspects at this time.
