A man whose body was found last week in western Fresno County was the victim of a suspected homicide, investigators said Monday.
His injuries are consistent with a murder, but investigators did not detail those injuries.
Yonnathan Ishmael Orellana Guardado, 19, of the Winnetka area in Los Angeles, was identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
Detectives are trying to learn Guardado’s whereabouts prior to his death and identify any of his friends and associates.
Fresno County sheriff’s detectives are in Los Angeles conducting interviews with Guardado’s family and friends.
His body was discovered about 8:30 a.m. on Friday by an irrigation district employee checking irrigation lines in an orchard at West Panoche Road and Interstate 5 near Firebaugh.
