A Coalinga man was convicted Wednesday in Fresno County Superior Court of sexually abusing a 4-year-old girl.
Raymond Osuna, 34, was free on $215,000 bail.
Once the verdict was announced, he was taken to the Fresno County Jail, where he will be held without bail until his sentencing on Aug. 23. He faces up to 10 years in prison and registration as a sex offender.
Afterward, Chief Michael Salvador of the Coalinga Police Department praised the hard work by his investigators and the District Attorney’s Office and thanked the “people who provided information that was crucial to the successful prosecution of the case.”

Osuna was arrested in March 2014 after a one-month investigation, Salvador said. After two weeks of trial, a jury found Osuna guilty of two felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor.
