A 21-year-old man faces felony charges after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in Fresno’s Tower District.
The crash took place Sunday night. Police identified Benjamin Perez, 21, as the driver and reported that he was under the influence when the crash occurred.
Police said Perez was driving a red Honda Civic and and allegedly collided with at least one vehicle and a pedestrian on Olive Avenue. He was detained by officers at Ferger Avenue and Olive after fleeing the scene of the crash near Roosevelt Avenue.
The victim, who was not identified, sustained a fractured lower leg and lacerations to his face and upper body.

Perez was booked into Fresno County Jail on charges including felony driving under the influence and hit and run.
