A man was in critical condition after he was shot in southeast Fresno on Tuesday, said Lt. Steve Card.
Just before 6 p.m., police responded to a shots fired call near First Street and Grant Avenue where they found a Hispanic man in his 30s to 40s with at least one gun shot wound to his lower body.
Card said the victim was walking south on First Street when he was shot.
It was too early to tell if the shooting was gang related though it is a possibility, Card said.
The victim was sent to Community Regional Medical Hospital. Additional information about the suspect was not released.
