A man died Sunday afternoon after he was stabbed multiple times in a central Fresno group home, police Lt. Joe Gomez said.
About 3:25 p.m., police responded to a stabbing call in the 3500 block of North College Avenue near Cortland Avenue where a Hispanic man in his late 40s to early 50s was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
Gomez said the suspect, who lived in the group home with the victim, walked out of a room, then stabbed the victim who was sitting on the couch.
The two may have had a dispute prior to the stabbing, Gomez said, and the suspect fled the house on foot.

The suspect is described as a 48-year-old Hispanic man about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a red beanie, blue T-shirt, Levi’s pants, and white tennis shoes with white trim.
