A woman was arrested Tuesday after damaging three Fresno police patrol vehicles and a Fresno Fire Station 8 window, Lt. Mark Hudson said.
About 10:45 a.m., Fresno police officer Matthew Enos was writing a report at the Southeast Policing District office when he heard a loud bang on the back of his patrol vehicle.
He climbed out and found Sylviastina Beltran, 46, throwing another rock near the rear wheel of his vehicle.
A witness then approached Enos, saying Beltran vandalized Fresno Fire Department Station 8 early Tuesday.
Beltran told investigators she threw the rocks at police vehicles because she does not like Chief Jerry Dyer, Hudson said. She had associated the Fire Department with Dyer and the Police Department, he said.
Beltran damaged two other patrol vehicles last week, Hudson said. Each vehicle is estimated to have $1,000 worth of damage and Station 8’s window will cost $5,000 to replace.
